Crochet Cinnamon Roll - Free Pattern

I haven't eaten a cinnamon roll in forever, but I made a cute one to have with my cup of coffee and cup of tea. It's part of my coffee shop series that I have available on my Etsy shop. This was fairly a quick and easy pattern - hope you enjoy!

Level: Beginner

Materials:

  • H/5.50 mm hook (use a bigger or smaller hook to change the size of the final product)
  • Approx 50 yards of worsted weight yarn in tan
  • Approx 50 yards of worsted weight yarn in dark brown
  • Approx 1 yard of worsted weight yarn in white
  • tapestry needle
  • fabric glue

Final product is about 3 inches tall.
You may sell your finished projects but please link back to my blog to give design credit.

Abbreviations:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch

Use tan yarn
Row 1: Ch 51. Starting from the second chain from the hook, sc all the way across (50)
Row 2-10: sc all the way across (50)
Fasten off but leave a very long tail, at least a yard.
Use dark brown yarn
Row 1: Ch 51. Starting from the second chain from the hook, sc all the way across (50)
Row 2-4: sc all the way across (50)
Fasten off
Line up the dark brown band to the top of the tan band and sew together using the long tail (see picture)

Assembly:
  • Roll it up the 2 bands with the center a little bit taller than the outer edge.
  • Sew the roll a few times so that it won't unravel
  • Optional: If the bottom is uneven and won't stand up, fold the outer layer and whip stitch it to the layer next to it. This will make the bottom flatter.
  • To add frosting, use fabric glue to attach white yarn in a drizzle pattern across the top
